Guacamole is an easy side dish that is tasty, creamy and healthy to eat. Avocados are nutrient dense plant-based food with healthy fats, and are high in vitamins and potassium. A healthy snack that I love to enjoy with chips and crisps; it is the classic dip!
3-4 ripe avocados
Cherry tomatoes, try not put too much of the juice from the tomatoes in the guacamole (why I use cherry tomatoes, instead of large tomatoes)
1-2 juice of lime
Handful of coriander
1 red onion
½ – 1 chilli or chilli flakes (depending how hot you like it)
Himalayan salt to taste
Olives – optional
1. Slice the avocados in half, destone and scoop the flesh onto a chopping board, chop the avocado finely and put into a bowl
2. Add the rest of the ingredients into the bowl
3. Mash all the ingredients with a masher, to a desired texture.
4. Season to desired taste, by adding more chilli, salt, or lime juice and enjoy! (coriander can be added last over the top of the guacamole)
